Feb. 10--Houston Astros pitcher Scott Feldman has completed an under-the-radar trade, selling his home in Burlingame off-market for $3.475 million.
Built in 2004 and since updated, the Cape Cod-inspired Traditional is distinguished by its dormer windows, wide front porch and white picket fence. Shingled siding furthers the East Coast ambiance.
Entered through a foyer, the 4,225 square feet of living space features a formal living room with a fireplace, an office with coffered ceiling, an updated kitchen, five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The master suite sports his and hers vanities, a large soaking tub and rain shower.
Outdoors, landscaped grounds of more than a quarter-acre contain a barbecue station, a hot tub and a detached two-car garage. A pathway leads down to a creek behind the home.
Feldman, who starred at Burlingame High School and later attended the College of San Mateo, paid $2.775 million for the home in 2012, records show.
Mary Lawson of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage represented both Feldman and the buyer in the sale, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
Feldman, 32, joined the Astros on a three-year, $30-million pact in 2013 and went 8-12 with an ERA of 3.74 in his first season with the team. He has previously pitched for the Rangers, Cubs and Orioles.
