Astonishing picture shows man skiing in snowy Queen's Park

We've had a lot of weather-based shenanigans recently, with some attracting more attention than others.

There's been ice hockey, ice skaters, sledging - how come we didn't get the memo that Glasgow is home to many amazing winter athletes before now?!

And hundreds of us in Glasgow woke up this morning to snowy streets as showers, ice and freezing fog reaches the city.

This doesn't bode well with our hour of daily exercise, but for one Glasgow man, a little dusting of snow wasn't going to stop him.

This south sider knew exactly what to do when the snow hit, and for his daily exercise he donned his ski boots and got ready to embark on the hill at the top of Queen's Park.

Very brave south siders today... (Jacqueline Bradley)

Archie told us: "I was very impressed considering how little snow there was!

"Guess someone is missing the Highlands. Just really good to see folk making the most of the snow during lockdown."

Others have even taken to toboganning and snowboarding in the park.

Headfirst down the hill... (Jacqueline Bradley)

We hope it was a cool ride for him!
