Aston Villa vs Man City prediction: Phil Foden to put forward case for cup final spot

Hopes of a quadruple are over for Manchester City - at least for a season but there is always the treble.

The Premier League leaders travel to Villa Park with Pep Guardiola's side the favourites at 4/11 with Betfred while Aston Villa are 8/1.

Guardiola will be looking for an instant reaction after his side were beaten in the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea at the weekend.

His side may not win the quadruple but the Premier League, Champions League and a final against Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup make a treble-winning season a real possibility.

It will just be a case of how they will react in tonight's match, which our tipster reckons will go down very well.

Tips

  • Phil Foden to score anytime - 5/4
  • Over 2.5 goals - 4/6
  • Man City to win to nil - 5/4

Attacking midfielder Phil Foden will be the main threat for City going forward.

The England international was benched for the FA Cup semi-final which left a fair few people scratching their heads as to why following an impressive display against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

And with a Carabao Cup final round the corner he will want to make sure he is starting at Wembley this time round.

He will be looking to give goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez a run for his moeny and is 5/4 to score anytime.

City were off colour against Chelsea at Wembley on Saturday and it was the Blues fully deserved their victory.

The hosts so far have picked up just one win in their last six league matches which was against relegation-threatened Fulham. Meanwhile City have won their last three on the road in the league to nil including wins against Arsenal and Leicester City.

A repeat of this at Villa Park is 5/4.
