The Reds have won nine of their opening ten league matches and sit six points clear of two-time reigning champions Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp 's men are favourites to pick up their tenth victory of the league campaign against a Villa side who are just three points clear of the relegation zone after ten matches.
Liverpool have won three consecutive matches in all competitions since they drew 1-1 at Manchester United last month, with Genk, Tottenham and Arsenal (on penalties) all dispatched in the Champions League, Premier League and Carabao Cup respectively.
Dean Smith's side come into the match after winning two of their last three league games, but last time out they suffered a 3-0 loss to Man City in the league.
