Aston Villa to 'snub any Grealish bids' amid Manchester United and Man City links and more transfer rumours

Aston Villa will not be tempted to sell their star playmaker Jack Grealish in January, amid links to Manchester United and Manchester City, according to reports.

Both Manchester clubs have been touted to sign Grealish over the last 12 months as he made a triumphant return to the Premier League and near single-handedly kept Villa up last season.

United were planning on making a move in the summer and even made their interest known to Villa back in February in the hope of stealing a march on any potential rivals. Yet, Villa's successful fight against relegation meant the Midlands club were under no pressure to sell their prized asset and, with lofty prices quoted, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side turned to Donny van de Beek instead.

The 25-year-old committed his future to his hometown club in the summer by signing a new five-year deal, but that hasn't stopped continued links with United and City, who could be looking to rejuvenate their attack after a low scoring campaign.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Grealish won't be going anywhere in January as Villa are set to dismiss any approaches they receive for their captain.

It's reported that the Villains' wealthy owners, Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens, are hoping to build upon the club's positive start to the season, in which Grealish has played an integral role by scoring five goals and laying on seven assists, and have no intention of letting their best players leave.

Meanwhile, Andreas Pereira is considering asking to have his loan-spell at Lazio terminated, according to  La Lazio Siamo Noi.

The Brazilian midfielder has been on the fringes of first-team football for the Italian side this season and is reportedly frustrated by a lack of playing time.

Pereira wishes to play regular football and could ask to switch clubs if he doesn’t see any chance of getting it.

Finally, City are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Aleks Zinchenko.

Despite playing well against Chelsea on Sunday, Zinchenko has largely been out of favour under Pep Guardiola and the victory at Stamford Bridge was only his first league start of the season.

According to 90min, the left-back is considering his future as a result, with Wolves, Leicester City, West Ham and Southampton all said to be interested.
