Leon Bailey missed Aston Villa’s superb 1-0 victory over Manchester United on Saturday after picking up an injury last weekend.
The Jamaican winger sustained a quad injury after scoring his first goal for the club during Villa’s 3-0 win over Everton, and is expected to be out of action for the next couple of weeks.
Despite missing out on the trip to Manchester, Bailey supported his teammates from afar and throughout the game kept Villa fans updated through his Instagram account.
The 24-year-old wildly celebrated Kortney Hause’s 88th minute strike, before turning the camera on himself in the final moments of the game, beckoning the referee to blow his whistle.

“Referee...referee...whistle, whistle...whistle referee...ha! There we go,” Bailey shouted in triumph. “Lovely, lovely, well done Villa! Come on, let’s go, three points in the bag, up the Villa! Yes!”
The win at Old Trafford was Villa’s first since 2009 when they won by the same score line, after Gabriel Agbonlahor's winner during Martin O’Neill’s spell in charge of the club.
