Aston Villa have made a gesture to Liverpool ahead of the FA Youth Cup final later this month.
The young Reds are due to travel to Villa Park for the final on Monday (May 24), with a 7.45pm kick-off.
Marc Bridge-WIlkinson’s side saw off Ipswich Town in the previous round, while Villa beat West Midland rivals West Brom.
The match is being broadcast live on BT Sport, and 4,750 fans will be allowed to attend.
For the final Premier League match at Villa Park this week, 10,000 fans will be in attendance, but it will be lower for the Youth Cup tie against Liverpool the following day.
Villa's chief corporate affairs officer Paul Tyrrell explained the lower Youth Cup final ticket allocation after being asked about it on Twitter by former club secretary Steve Stride.
"Capacities are set on a ‘dynamic’ basis by the Safety Advisory Group which is made up of reps from the council, emergency services and the SGSA," Tyrrell tweeted. "Not sure if was the same during your time at the club.
"Monday’s game is different to Sunday because SAG decided it was inappropriate to close the same number of roads on a Monday as permitted on a Sunday.
"That has a direct impact on our ability to get fans in and out while adhering to current COVID protocols.”
Despite more than 4,000 fans being able to watch the match, no away supporters for Liverpool will be allowed inside the stadium.
However, Tyrell went on to say that the club have made a gesture to Liverpool to make sure they have some form of support in the stadium for the game.
Tyrrell said: "No away fans are being permitted into the game on Monday - although we have given a small number of tickets to family of the visiting team.
"I am sure our 4,000+ supporters will make it a cracking atmosphere.
"And I would like to take this opportunity to thank our operations and ticketing staff who have responded brilliantly to the really quick turnaround since the semi final last Friday. They are a remarkable group of people. UTV."
