Aston Villa have been handed a double boost on the selection front for their FA Cup tie at Old Trafford.
Steven Gerrard and his Midlands side are due to lock horns with Manchester United twice over the course of six days in the world-famous cup competition and the Premier League.
Following a third-round meeting at Old Trafford on Monday night (7.55pm), the teams will do battle for the second time at Villa Park next Saturday afternoon (5.30pm).
Tyrone Mings and Ollie Watkins are back available - having missed the preceding game against Brentford.
Ex-United winger Ashley Young is also in contention as he continues to shake off an issue with his toe.
The above represents good news for Gerrard ahead of this important week in the English calendar, although Villa will, once again, be without two of the longer-term absentees Leon Bailey (knee) and Marvelous Nakamba (thigh).
And they won't be able to call upon marquee loan signing Philippe Coutinho, either.
Having signed on the dotted line from Barcelona, the Brazilian playmaker remains in Spain after he tested positive for Covid-19. He will fly into the UK over the next 48 hours to complete his medical and has, in turn, missed a cut-off to be registered in time.
Speaking to BirminghamLive about his options, the Villa manager said: "Assuming the last couple of Covid tests go well, we should be in good shape, while Berto [Bertrand Traore] and Trez [Trezeguet] are at the AFCON now as we wish them well and to go and do us all proud - and to get some valuable game-time and be in a good place to help us moving forward.
"We'll go there with the strongest possible team that we've got available to try and get the best result we can."
Aston Villa predicted line-up (4-3-3): Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Mings, Targett; McGinn, Luiz, Ramsey; Watkins, Ings, Buendia.
