United started brightly, and Jesse Lingard - captain for the day - scored a fine opener to put the Red Devils in control. Solskjaer will have been pleased to see a few promising displays among such a youthful starting lineup, but the game swung within one key second-half minute.
Tahith Chong somehow skied an open goal 10 minutes after the restart, and Dmitri Shomko punished that miss with an equaliser less than a minute later - and then Di-Shon Bernard saw the ball richchet off his chest into the net for the winner seven minutes later.
