505 Games and Supernova Games Studios, working with KUNOS Simulazioni, have released Assetto Corsa Rally in Early Access on Steam.
The new project brings the well-known driving physics of the series into rally racing, aiming for a grounded experience built around speed, control and constant adjustments on the road.
The team used the Assetto Corsa physics engine under KUNOS’ supervision, adapting it specifically for loose surfaces, jumps and the unpredictable nature of rally stages. Each course reacts to time of day, weather, temperature, humidity and terrain with grip and handling shifting as conditions change.
Stages are built with LaserScan tech for precise terrain detail, paired with Unreal Engine 5, which the team has customized to support the look and performance expected from a modern racing sim. Vehicles are recreated with laser scans and CAD data, supported by a damage system that affects both visuals and handling. Audio is based on real rally car recordings and authentic co-driver pace notes.
The Early Access version includes 33 km of laser-scanned roads, four stages with multiple variants across Wales and Alsace, ten cars from categories like Group B, WRC and Rally2, along with several gameplay modes with triple-screen support.
The full release is planned to expand to more than 120 km of stages, ten total stages with over 35 variants across five rallies, a larger car roster, new modes, Rally School, Career Mode and full VR.
Assetto Corsa Rally is available on Steam Early Access with a 20 percent discount for the first two weeks. A Steam bundle with Assetto Corsa EVO offers an additional 10 percent discount during that same window.
