KUNOS Simulazioni and 505 Games have released the third update for Assetto Corsa EVO’s Early Access program on Steam. Update 0.3 adds the first step of multiplayer along with upgrades to physics, audio, graphics and the overall interface.
The update also expands the lineup with two new tracks—Spa Francorchamps and Red Bull Ring—and nine cars across GT, special and classic categories. Additions include the BMW M4 GT3 EVO, Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport, Caterham Seven Academy Racer, Dallara Stradale, Ferrari F2004, Audi RS 6 Avant, BMW M3 Sport Evo (E30) and Mercedes-Benz 190E AMG 2.5-16 Evo II.
Multiplayer lets players race online with up to 16 drivers per server with the focus for now on stability and core features. Capacity will expand in future updates and public servers are available around the clock with a mix of tracks, race formats and weather options. A Custom Servers Portal is also on the way for leagues and communities looking to run their own events.
The driving model has been refined with a reworked tire system, new suspension algorithm and higher-frequency damping, giving cars more natural feedback in different conditions. Audio now features unique startup sounds, sharper engine responses and more authentic backfires, while graphics improvements bring better performance, reduced VRAM use and cleaner post-processing effects. The interface has also been updated with customizable controls, leaderboards and clearer in-race displays.
