What’s different in AC Black Flag Resynced
Ubisoft describes Black Flag Resynced as a “faithfully enhanced remake” with upgraded visuals, new content, and modern tech improvements. The official page mentions the latest Anvil engine, dynamic weather, ray tracing, and other visual upgrades. It also adds new story content for characters like Blackbeard and Stede Bonnet, plus extra features such as sea shanties, pets, and photo mode.
There’s reworked combat with new parrying mechanics and more visceral takedowns, improved stealth gameplay, including the ability to crouch anywhere. There’s an Observe mode, which helps Edward scan the area for objectives, clues, and enemies, with updated tailing missions, where getting spotted no longer automatically fails the mission.
Enhanced parkour is there with smoother movement and new traversal options like ziplines. There’s also new sea shanties, including a fresh batch of songs for sailing. Pets on the Jackdaw have been added so you can bring a companion along while sailing.
There are recruitable officers, with three new officers who bring special abilities to naval combat. Expanded naval combat includes new secondary weapons and ship combat changes. Dynamic weather systems, with winds, waves, storms, and environmental effects that impact the sea.
There’s a photo mode and other quality-of-life additions. Ubisoft rebuilt the game from the ground up and updated combat and stealth systems. That includes parries, improved stealth movement, and reworked tailing missions.
