'Assassin's Creed Odyssey' Release Date And Special Edition Info

In 11 years, Ubisoft has released 20 versions of Assassin’s Creed across a variety of platforms. Soon that number will grow to 21.

Hardcore fans for the stealthy action-adventure franchise are likely waiting with bated breath for Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, the newest installment in the series. Here is the skinny on the release date and the specifics on the nine different editions.

Release Date: Friday, October 5, but early access begins on Tuesday, October 2

Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, and PC

Understanding what you’ll receive in the different versions of AC: Odyssey can be a little overwhelming. Take a look at the breakdown with infographics from Ubisoft to make it all easier to absorb.

• Standard Edition – $59.99 – This version just includes the game (digital or physical).
• Deluxe Digital – $79.99 – This version includes the game (digital) and the Deluxe digital pack. The contents are shown below:

• Digital Gold Edition – $99.99 – This version includes the game (digital) and the Gold digital pack. The contents are shown below:

• Gold Edition With Steelbox – $109.99 – This version includes the physical game and the Gold contents pack. The contents are shown below:

• Digital Ultimate Edition – $119.99 – This version includes the digital game with the Ultimate digital pack. The contents are shown below:

• Steelbook Gold Edition with Kassandra Figurine – Only at GameStop – $149.99 – This version includes the physical game with all of the features of the Gold Edition, as well as the Steelbook and Figurine. The figurine is shown below:

There are also three versions of the game that aren’t available from most retailers in the United States, however, you can buy them at Ubisoft’s web store.

• Medusa Edition for € 109,99. Here are the contents, but it is important to note this version doesn’t come with the Season Pass.
