Assam: Rhino horn, tusk seized from drug dealer's house

DIBRUGARH: A team of Dibrugarh Police led by DSP (Headquarters) Aoicharjya Jibon Baruah on Thursday night raided the house of Miraz Khan, a notorious drug dealer, located in the Panchali area of the town and seized a rhino horn, one elephant tusk and 19 grams of brown sugar. Cash amounting to Rs 1.3 lakh and two mobile handsets were also seized from the accused's house.

The police arrested Khan and one of his henchman identified as Anish Rahman.

A case has been registered against them at the Dibrugarh police station under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. Police said the accused was involved in drug trafficking and smuggling of animal parts.
