Aspiring model, 18, dies after anorexia tragically takes over her life

An aspiring model has reportedly died following a battle with anorexia leaving her parents devastated.

Elizaveta Manitsyna is said to have been a normal, happy teenager before the devastating disorder took over her life.

The 18-year-old, from the town of Rybnoye in the western Russian region of Ryazan Oblast, was consuming very little food before she died, according to local media.

Elizaveta had hoped of becoming a model and her family are devastated by her sudden death.

Anorexia is an eating disorder characterised by an extreme fear of gaining weight and a strong desire to be thin.

Many people with the condition see themselves as overweight even when they are often severely underweight.

Complications may include osteoporosis, infertility and heart damage, among others.
