THE annual Aspire production, this year titled The Masked DJ, has been postponed from late July to November.
It will be the second year in a row the Catholic Schools Office performing arts showcase has had to be moved due to COVID-19 restrictions.
It will now be staged on November 10 and 11 at the Civic Theatre.
Artistic director Anna Kerrigan said the roughly 150 students from 32 schools - who had spent the second week of the school holidays rehearsing - were disappointed, but understood the reasons why.
She said Catholic Schools NSW had not allowed the event because it would bring together cast members from so many different areas.
"It's out of our hands," she said.
"Everybody is having to adapt and rethink and roll with the punches at the moment aren't they, it's just the world that we live in."
