Following this morning's piece in which I cast some doubt on car manufacturers' willingness to innovate beyond petrol unless there's an economic imperative, it looks as though - unsurprisingly - the car industry isn't alone in this.
It seems most large companies have no policy on emissions and pollutants, even though they admit it would be a selling point if they did. What the survey doesn't say is whether they think this apparent selling point would outweigh any price increase for their goods and services that a greener policy might pull through.
My guess is that it wouldn't, which is why nothing is happening. Would any readers like to 'fess up to knowing their company should be greener but just not getting around to doing anything about it?
