ASOS launches recycled underwear range made of plastic bottles and old fishing nets

ASOS is fast becoming our one-stop lingerie shop.

Stocking everything from high end labels to a 'Fuller Bust' collection for cup sizes DD-G, ASOS has just welcomed another addition to its digital shelves: recycled underwear.

The bras and briefs feature the usual elastane and polyester fabric, but the majority is made from recycled polyamide, a material that reuses waste such as plastic bottles, old fishing nets and carpets.

The benefits? Less chemical usage, less energy used and overall less waste - a reassuring thought for those trying to reduce their fashion footprint.

The comfortable seamfree styles come in several silhouettes, from classic triangle bras to moulded push up bras, thongs to high waisted briefs and all in classic shades of black, white, beige.

The underwear, which is part of ASOS's ongoing Eco Edit, is available across many of ASOS's inclusive collections, like Curve and Fuller Bust, meaning sizes range from an 8 to 28.

Prices start from £4 for a thong and £8 for a triangle bra, making caring for the planet cool - and affordable.
