ASOS drops hint Black Friday 2019 could be its biggest ever after 'disappointing' 2018

Online retailer ASOS has dropped a huge hint that it plans to release bigger offers this Black Friday after a 'disappointing' 2018 saw profits drop.

Last year saw profits fall by more than two-thirds, reports MirrorOnline.

In a market announcement, it referred to its Black Friday offers last year as "uncompetitive" and said during this period, it experienced "a loss of focus on product and customer engagement".

This year's Black Friday takes place on November 29.

However bosses insisted it is on track for transformation with trials of new two hour flash sales and discounted Next Day Delivery mechanics, which have so far "resonated well with our UK customers".

Earlier this year ASOS announced a clampdown to those who regularly return items, it said frequent returners might now be considered suspicious, and potentially refused a refund.

And if you're caught, you could have your access or account blocked, too.

So far this year, ASOS has regularly offered its customers huge savings with up to 70% off selected ranges, which could give an indication to the savings which will be on offer for Black Friday.

We will be bringing you all the latest updates regarding Black Friday deals - including a list of retailers taking part, the best offers and who has chosen to opt out of Black Friday.
