ASOS Design X Lion King: your first look at the collaboration

Disney merchandise is no longer reserved for under-twelves.

From Kenzo's 2016 Jungle Book collection to Gucci's Mickey Mouse bags, it has become high fashion to pay homage to your favourite Disney movies.

ASOS is the latest fashion powerhouse to join forces with Disney. The etailer has created a capsule collection to celebrate the release of the upcoming remake of the 1994 hit The Lion King.

Welcoming back the iconic characters, the exclusive unisex clothing and accessory collection, which will also be available as ASOS CURVE and ASOS PLUS, features everything from a tee with the iconic Pride Rock scene printed on it (where Rafiki lifts baby Simba and says the famous line: 'Everything the light touches is our kingdom'), to a trendy tie-dye design adorned with meerkat Timon and a holiday-ready Hawaiian shirt with Pumbaa walking through a sunset.

For those who want to show their love for the film in a more understated way, there's a multi-coloured striped co-ord and matching bucket hat (also known as, the accessory of the summer).

The collection goes on sale on July 1 with prices starting from just £8.
