Irish rock band Aslan have rescheduled two shows in the UK over coronavirus fears.
The Dublin group made the announcement today, confirming that they would not be going forward with their planned shows in Liverpool and Birmingham later this month.
They cited the band's frontman Christy Dignam's compromised immune system and ongoing fears surrounding the killer coronavirus as the reason behind the decision.
They added that full refunds can be issued, or the tickets can be held for a new rescheduled date.
Aslan said in a statement: "Due to Christy's compromised immune system and current situation with coronavirus, unfortunately, we will have to reschedule our date in Birmingham March 13, and Liverpool March 14.
"We have to take Christy's medical team's advice on this and we hope we can reschedule the date very soon.
"Tickets can be held for new date or refunds can be issued from point of purchase.
"Thank you to everyone for understanding our position on this and we apologise but it is a matter that is beyond our control."
And Aslan’s manager Denise McCorrmack told the Irish Mirror that Christy’s health is the main priority.
She said: “Christys well-being is paramount at all times so it was important we looked to his medical team for advice and the decision had to be made on the advice given by them in the current situation with Coronavirus.
"With the travel involved, airport, flights etc we had no other choice to make but to reschedule our Birmingham and Liverpool gigs.
"Olympia and all other gigs will be going ahead.”
