Aslan manager Denise McCormack reveals how tough it is working in a mostly male industry but says she loves a challenge

The top manager for rock legends Aslan has revealed how it can be tough working in a predominantly male industry.

But fierce Denise McCormack, who took up the job in 2017, says she loves a challenge.

The Dubliner has been the mastermind behind the hit band's recent successful tours and sell-out shows.

Denise says that despite Aslan doing amazingly well at the moment, she still has her sights set on even bigger things.

Christy Dignam talks to Ryan Tubridy about his health

She told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “I’ve been involved in management in different areas but moved to music management in 2017.

“The band approached me in relation to their merchandise when they were looking to expand their range and asked if I would be interested in coming up with suggestions/designs.

“I was to meet with their then manager Svenn when he returned from holidays.

“Sadly Svenn passed away under very sad circumstances so this meeting never happened.

“I kind of started helping out more where I could and attending gigs and helping at the gigs also.

“Then the guys asked if I would manage them and did I have to think about it... eh, of course not. The answer was yes.”
