ASK Italian wants to help its customers celebrate great moments throughout October. The restaurant chain is giving away complimentary treats to help the UK celebrate ten ‘modern milestones’.
In a 2021 Pinterest report, a breakout theme was ‘altbashes’ – a rise in people celebrating alternative life events. These ‘modern milestones’ include ‘deleting dating apps’ - as marriage rates fall and searches around ‘dating burnout’ in the UK are up 100% in the last year alone.
Additionally, discourse around leaving a toxic job is increasing. Brits are searching for ways to leave - 67% more compared to September 2021 - and those that manage to do so are wanting to celebrate, with a 58% positive sentiment to advice around the subject.
ASK Italian has drawn inspiration from smaller, sometimes overlooked, milestones too . According to Amazon data from September 2021 to September 2022, demand for houseplants is up 23% and the number Googling the term ‘plant parent’ has shot up by nearly 200%.
ASK Italian will be offering celebratory gifts, including a round of cocktails if you’ve deleted your dating app, a free vegan blood orange and chocolate tart if you’ve made it a month eating plant-based, or a round of Prosecco if you finally got out of that toxic job.
