Send Hilary Benn your thoughts on his
department's policies
Photograph: David Karp/APDo you want to make a difference to Britain's international development policy? Hilary Benn, who last night made a speech on what the west can do to help developing countries deal with climate change has a series of questions he wants Guardian Unlimited readers to answer.
But, you'll probably want to know if he's actually listening. Apparently so - he's even referred to some of the ruder comments in one speech.
Some of the questions to which Mr Benn is looking for answers include:
* What role should development agencies play in finding a global solution to climate change?
* What role can the international community - including the private sector - play in promoting good natural resource management and public procurement?
* What more can the international community do to prevent conflict and support security in developing countries?
* What can the UK and other governments do to help developing countries to grow while also managing environmental dangers?
* What further international action against corruption - such as bribery, money laundering, tax havens, trafficking and organised crime - should be taken?
* How can international migration be managed better - so that migrants can safely pursue opportunities in a way which benefits both their own countries and those to which they move?
* What could be done at a national, regional and international level to help ensure consistency between development and other policies?
