Asian fusion bar and brasserie Mamasan opening in Glasgow next month

The good food and drink news keeps on coming folks!

There's a new Asian fusion bar and brasserie opening in the city centre next month.

Taking over the spot vacated by Argentinian steakhouse CAU on Ingram Street, Mamasan Bar & Brasserie will soon swing open its doors.

The team behind the new venture hope to make Mamasan "one of Scotland’s most iconic and exciting dining and drinking destinations".

And they plan to do so via a menu that "takes its inspiration from the flavours of South East Asia paired up with the best of Scottish produce from farm, field & sea".

The entire menu will be made from scratch - right down to Mamasan producing their own coconut cream and curry pastes, with their food served in brasserie styled surroundings alongside creative cocktails, craft beers and  wines.

With a wee peek at their sample menu showing dishes such as black cod miso, Isle of Mull fresh oysters with chilli, lime and coriander and ceviche and sashimi plates of sushi grade tuni and wild salmon with ginger, lemon and chilli.

Oh and did we mention there's a DJ booth above the entrance?

The provisional date for Mamasan opening is March 27.
