Asia Cup: Comeback man KL Rahul slams dazzling century against Pakistan

NEW DELHI: Returning to competitive cricket after a four-month injury layoff, India middle-order batter KL Rahul on Monday slammed a masterful ton against Pakistan in the Asia Cup Super 4s clash in Colombo.

Rahul's sixth century in ODIs came off just 100 balls and was laced with 12 fours and a couple of sixes.

The India no.4 was also involved in a record 233-run unbeaten partnership with Virat Kohli as the duo guided India to a mammoth 356 for 2 against the arch rivals.

Rahul finished with an unbeaten 106-ball 111 while Kohli scored 122 off just 94 balls.

Rahul last played an international match in March 2023 against Australia.

During the IPL, which followed the Australia series, Rahul got injured and was sidelined for months.

Rahul was recently declared fit after he missed India's first two games of the Asia Cup.
