Ashton Kutcher got hit with ‘Take a shower!’ chants on ‘College GameDay’

Ashton Kutcher didn’t receive the warmest welcome in Ames, Iowa for his appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday as the guest picker ahead of No. 10 Iowa’s road game against No. 9 Iowa State (4:30 p.m. ET, ABC).

The actor is a native of the state and went to the University of Iowa before he pursued his acting career, and he’s a clear Hawkeyes fan — which he reminded everyone of when he and GameDay announced his appearance on the show. That didn’t sit well with Cyclones fans, who surely hoped for someone connected to Iowa State instead.

So when Kutcher arrived on the GameDay set Saturday, fans relentlessly trolled him, chanting, “Take a shower!”

And they didn’t let up.

That chant is, of course, a reference to Kutcher and his wife, Mila Kunis, recently admitting this summer that they don’t wash their whole bodies with soap every day. Via USA TODAY:

“I don’t wash my body with soap every day,” Kunis said, clarifying she does wash her armpits, feet and most intimate areas daily. Kutcher wasn’t much different. “I wash my armpits and my crotch daily, and nothing else ever,” he said.

Back on the set of College GameDay, when Kutcher obviously picked Iowa to win Saturday’s game — as did Lee Corso while savagely trolling Iowa State — Cyclones fans, again, weren’t happy.
