Ashtead Technology completes US investment

Ashtead Technology, a provider of subsea solutions with operations in Aberdeen, has completed its $2 million investment in a new US facility in Houston as part of its international growth plans.

The new building is designed to let the firm increase its service lines and capabilities from its Gulf of Mexico headquarters.

Energy sector maintenance firm snaps up drone operator 

The company has signed a seven-year lease and moved into a 31,000ft² building that has been redesigned and developed to accommodate new offices, workshops and a warehouse all under the same roof.

Last month, Ashtead Technology completed the expansion of its Singapore base following increased market demand in the Asia Pacific region.

It also recently acquired Aqua-Tech Solutions based in Louisiana. This is the fourth acquisition the firm has completed in the three years since it was bought by Buckthorn Partners and APICORP.

US regional vice president, Steven Thrasher, said: “This strategic relocation and recent acquisition have strengthened our position as the leading subsea equipment solutions specialist in the US market and provides us with a distinctive edge to better serve our clients.”
