Ashley Young 'accepts' Inter Milan transfer terms ahead of Man Utd talks

Ashley Young has reportedly agreed terms with Inter Milan over a move to the Serie A.

Manchester United skipper Young, 34, was left out of the Carabao Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday night.

Inter boss Antonio Conte is a long-term admirer of Young and Inter have been in talks over a transfer.

Young is out of contract this summer and is free to discuss a transfer with foreign clubs this month.

Sky Italia report ex-England international Young has accepted the terms on offer from Inter, who are willing to offer him an 18-month deal to complete the move.

It is now down to the two clubs to agree on when Young will link up with the Serie A side.

Inter would reportedly be willing to pay a fee to sign Young this month rather than for free in the summer but United are unlikely to do business without signing a replacement.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisted he knew little about the proposed move after the City defeat, but insisted United should be looking to add players this month, rather than lose them.

"We have got a few months left of the season and we can't weaken ourselves," he said.

"We have got to strengthen ourselves if any movement is going to happen."

United have been linked with a number of players in recent weeks as Solskjaer bids to strengthen his squad.
