Ashley Tisdale's bathroom makes the case for color-drenching – pink is her secret weapon for this small space

Ashley Tisdale.

Dealing with decorating a small bathroom is no easy feat. A lack of space means that accessories must be intentional and economical; that's where color comes in to save the day.

Take Ashley Tisdale's gorgeous, pink bathroom, for example. The actor recently shared a peek into her rosy space, and her strategic use of color drenching makes it feel much larger than it is.

From the washed, pink tiles adorning the shower walls to the bright pink bath towels hanging from the rack, everything is bathed in the cheerful color. A painted pink, ceramic sink ties it all together. It's a welcome burst of vibrancy amid the warm wood wall paneling, as well as a contrast against the green marble countertops. It goes to show how far a shade can take a space.

According to design experts, color drenching has surged in popularity in part due to its versatility and simplicity.

'This technique involves using one bold hue across walls, ceilings, and even furnishings to create a seamless and dramatic look,' explains Johanna Constantinou, interior trends expert at Tapi Carpets & Floors. 'To incorporate this trend into your space, start by selecting a colour that resonates with the room’s purpose and atmosphere - deep blues or greens can evoke calm, while warm terracottas or rich rusts bring warmth and energy.'

We can see that Ashley has drenched her shower area, with the walls and floor accessories all coordinating in a bright yet warming pink. This is how a room can feel bigger, Johanna explains. It is crucial to pay close attention not only to the walls, but ceilings, floors, and any surrounding focal points (like Ashley's sink).

'Extend the color across walls, trim, and even accessories like rugs and throw pillows for a fully saturated, cohesive feel,' she continues. 'Color drenching not only brings depth to a space but also creates a striking and harmonious aesthetic that’s both modern and visually captivating.'
