Ashley St Clair, known as Elon Musk's baby mama, has stepped into a new chapter after a turbulent year. Just a year ago, she shocked the public by revealing she had a son with the tech billionaire. Since then, her life spiralled amid eviction threats, financial struggles and a custody dispute despite Musk's earlier financial support.

On Monday, August 18, 2025, she took a bold step by launching her own podcast titled Bad Advice with Ashley St Clair on Musk's social media platform, X.

The show, hosted by the 26-year-old conservative author and influencer, aims to chronicle her journey through personal setbacks and provide candid reflections on politics, culture and her highly scrutinised personal life.

Ashley St Clair Launches Her Own Podcast

On the debut episode of Bad Advice with Ashley St Clair, Ashley did not hold back. She openly addressed what she called her 'unplanned career suicide' and a mysterious gap in her professional life.

Humour coloured her introduction as she compared herself to prominent media figures, joking that she offered 'the worst ideas' as cautionary tales.

The podcast's opening episode ranged from political commentary on California Governor Gavin Newsom to critiques of controversies in tech and politics.

Facing eviction earlier this year, Ashley secured a $10,000 (£7,406) sponsorship deal from Polymarket, a cryptocurrency market company, which helped cover pressing costs, as reported by the New York Post,

The sponsorship underscores how the podcast is also an effort to stabilise her finances and reshape her public image.

Who is Ashley St Clair?

Ashley St Clair is a conservative author best known for her children's book Elephants Are Not Birds, published by BRAVE Books, a Christian conservative publisher. She firs

t rose to prominence through right-wing satire platform

The Babylon Bee and youth organisation Turning Point USA, though her association with the latter ended in 2019 after a controversy involving her political commentary.

Born in Florida and raised partly in Colorado, Ashley gained traction in New York's conservative media scene before shifting into political and cultural commentary.

She has frequently spoken about cultural issues, declining birth rates and conservative family values. But it was the revelation of her child with Musk that propelled her into international headlines.

Ashley-Elon Relationship Began With a Meme

Ashley disclosed on 14 February 2025 that she and Musk share a son, Romulus, born in September 2024. Their relationship, she claimed, began after Musk sent her a meme in May 2023, which led to professional meetings in San Francisco and, eventually, a romantic bond.

She alleged that Musk wanted to keep their child's existence private but later distanced himself amid child support disputes.

Ashley filed for sole custody, accusing Musk of minimal involvement. Musk admitted to providing financial support, including $2.5 million (£1.85 million) upfront and annual payments, but was accused of slashing child support by 60 per cent.

According to The Independent, Ashley rejected a $15 million (£11.10 million) offer plus monthly payments that Musk's fixer allegedly proposed to keep the matter private.

She insisted her son 'not feel like a secret'. Legal battles remain unresolved, with Musk reportedly avoiding formal court service.

What's Next for Ashley St Clair?

Ashley is betting on her new podcast to mark a fresh start beyond past missteps. While sponsorship remains modest, it provides crucial financial lifeline as she navigates unstable housing and custody battles.

Her legal fight with Musk continues to draw global attention, with experts predicting a protracted court process given Musk's high profile.

Ashley says she is determined to remain transparent and to advocate strongly for her child.

The coming months will test whether Bad Advice with Ashley St Clair can establish her as a credible voice in political and cultural commentary while also helping her reclaim stability.

For now, she remains firmly in the spotlight, balancing her role as a new podcaster, mother and outspoken critic of both personal and political issues.
