Former WWE star Ashley Massaro has died aged 39.
The WWE organisation released a statement following Ms Massaro's death, offering its condolences to the star's family and friends.
The wrestler and model was a WWE Superstar from 2005 and 2008.
She died of "non-criminal causes", police told local media.
Ms Massaro's death comes two months after she announced her return to wrestling.
She tweeted in March: “Gonna be bumping around the ring starting next week… super pumped n ready to see what I go left in these ole boots of mine.”
Fans, friends and former colleagues shared their condolences, flooding social media with support for her family.
“We are saddened to learn of the tragic death of former WWE Superstar Ashley Massaro," WWE said in a statement.
"She performed in WWE from 2005-2008 and was beloved by her fellow Superstars and fans around the world.
“WWE offers its condolences to Ashley’s family and friends.”
Professional wrestler Torrie Wilson described Ms Massaro as one of the sweetest people she knows.
She said: “I can’t even begin to explain how devastated I am.”
Maria Kanellis Bennett wrote: “I have no words. Ashley was my tag partner at Wrestlemania.
“My sometimes road wife.”
“It seems like yesterday Ashley was a major part of my life and then our worlds changed and now she is gone.
“I am heartbroken for her family.”
