Ashley Cole questions Kepa Arrizabalaga over Wilfried Zaha goal as Chelsea win at Crystal Palace

Chelsea favourite Ashley Cole believes that goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga should have done better to prevent Wilfried Zaha's goal against the Blues.

Frank Lampard's side stormed into a two-goal lead courtesy of goals from Olivier Giroud and Christian Pulisic but a fierce long-range strike from Zaha reduced that advantage.

While the effort flew off the Ivorian's boot at blistering speed, it hit the back of the net near the middle of the goal - and Cole believes he should have done more.

"I think whenever a ball goes near enough in the middle of the goal there will be criticism but the power he's hit that with, maybe Zouma blinded him a bit, it's a great finish," he told Sky Sports at half-time.

"But I think there will be question marks over Kepa there. Maybe it's a little bit harsh."

However, fellow pundit Jamie Redknapp disagreed: "I just think he's hit it so hard it's so difficult to stop, it sits up as well which I think gives it more power. He's hit that like a rocket.

"Kepa doesn't get anywhere near it. I know he's not the biggest keeper in the world but he hits it so hard, it makes it so difficult for keepers."
