Ashley Cain would do 'anything' to bring Azaylia back after baby daughter's tragic death

Ashley Cain said he would do 'anything' to bring his eight-month-old daughter back as he shared several pictures taken when they laid the youngster to rest.

The 30-year-old Ex On The Beach star and his partner Safiyya Vorajee have been grieving the tragic death of their child after Azaylia sadly lost her battle with leukemia at the end of April.

Last week, the couple said goodbye to Azaylia at an emotional funeral that saw the streets lined with hundreds of mourners.

Taking to social media, Ashley has shared several photographs taken during the ceremony as he reflected upon the legacy of his baby daughter.

In his heartfelt message, the reality star added that her death had 'broken him to pieces' and he wouldn't wish the loss of a child 'on his worst enemy.'

"We shared so many tears, sadness and broken hearts on Friday," Ashley wrote.

"The day I buried my daughter, something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. The weight of it it hasn’t really sank in yet, and I don’t know if it ever will. But I do know that I promised to do her proud, channelling her incredible energy every day for the rest of my life.

He added: "So, despite Friday being the most devastating day any parent could go through, it was also beautiful. We remembered and reflected on how amazing Azaylia was; the love that she created and the pure, positive energy that she possessed throughout.

Ashley went on: "I would do ANYTHING to bring my little angel back. She meant more to me than life itself and the fact I cannot change what has happened breaks me to pieces.

"It is something I will carry until the day I hold her in again in paradise.

"But, for now, I feel proud that we could give her the send off she deserved, a tribute to her short but impactful life...

"A beautiful life full of colour, strength, song and determination to enjoy every moment, even when dealt the toughest of hands.

"Thank you to everyone... Family, friends and supporters that made this day a special day for azaylia. Thank you to all those who came to wave her off.

"And thank you to everyone who continues to support us throughout this journey. You lift our spirits more than you will ever know, thank you," Ashley penned.

In the collection of pictures, Ashley and his girlfriend Safiyya were joined by a huge group of mourners dressed in black and orange as they said goodbye to Azaylia.

A horse-drawn white carriage had carried the little girl's coffin with floral tributes for her through the town before she was laid to rest.

In one snap, the couple sat at the front of a beautifully decorated tent as pictures of the baby girl flashed on a screen at the front at a celebration of her life.

Another picture featured the parents releasing a pair of white doves as they stood close to her grave in her hometown of Nuneaton.

Azaylia's brave story had captured people's hearts around the globe as she bravely battled a rare form of aggressive leukemia during her short life. Ashley and Safiyya have been inundated with messages of condolence as they shared several updates while grieving the loss of their daughter.

In another heartbreaking post that Ashley shared from the side of her grave on Tuesday, he vowed to see her "tomorrow. And everyday after."
