Ashley Cain says he's no longer scared of death after losing baby daughter

Ashley Cain says he's no longer scared of death after the loss of his daughter but wants to ''earn his place in heaven'' to be with her again - by making a positive difference in his life.

The Ex On The Beach star's daughter Azaylia Diamond Cain passed away in April aged just eight months after fighting acute myeloid leukaemia for most of her life.

Ashley has since taken positive steps drawn from his grief and has co-founded a charitable foundation in his daughter's memory, as he shared his fears on Fearne Cotton's Happy Place podcast.

Sharing a clip of the recording to Instagram he can be seen sitting opposite Fearne as he penned: "I'm not scared about death anymore. My only true fear in life is not doing enough on this earth while I am present to earn my place to be with my daughter again in heaven.

Fern can be seen fighting back tears as she apologies saying: "I'm sorry Ashley. To which he replied: "I think it probably makes it easier if we both cry."

In the accompanying post he continued: "When I filmed this podcast, it was the first time venturing out into the world since my daughters passing. I was low, I was nervous and I’d never listened or spoke on a podcast before. However, I couldn’t have been welcomed and sat opposite a more loving and genuine host than @fearnecotton.

"That day we shared words, stories, tears and emotions and to this day we share a friendship that I will carry with me forever."

Fearne also felt moved by their chat as she later commented on his post saying it was ''the most impactful conversation I've ever had''.

She added: "I feel very honoured to have been able to sit with you and hear your story Ashley. You and Safiyya are doing the most beautiful work with the Azaylia foundation thank you".

Since recording the podcast, Ashley has since suffered more tragedy as his grandma Cynthia Theresa Cain had also passed away.

The star later shared on Instagram that his grandmother has since been buried in the plot next to Azaylia's which ''means now there will never be a moment where they’re alone.''

Sharing a picture of his grandma cuddling up to their daughter, Safiyya wrote: “Grandma Cain RIP.

“Been such a difficult time over the past few days for the family. Grandma got her angel wings last night. Fly high. We love you."
