Ashley Cain's partner says the days are getting harder without Azaylia and thanks fans for support

Safiyya Vorajee has emotionally admitted that every day is getting harder without her daughter, but has thanked her followers for their support during the last few months.

Safiyya and partner Ashley Cain announced the devastating news on Sunday that daughter Azaylia had passed away after a battle with a rare form of leukaemia.

The eight-month-old's story had touched the hearts of the nation in recent months with the couple's followers constantly sending love and prayers their way.

And after a heartbreaking post on Sunday in which Safiyya said her daughter "will always be with me like a handprint on my heart," she has reached out to her following in a heartfelt Instagram message.

Alongside a picture of her with Azaylia as well as a cartoon lion, Safiyya wrote: "I would like to take a moment out of my day to thank each and everyone of you for your heart felt messages, amazing videos that you have created for us, poems, candles that have been lit, balloons, music, flowers Ect.

"It's so beautiful. Everyday is getting harder but Azaylia taught me strength, and courage which she held 100%. Now I need to make her proud and do the same.

"I no your looking down on me."

And she finished her posts with a heart felt message of thanks to her daughter.

"A special Thankyou to beautiful Azaylia for teaching us the true meaning of life. I'm honoured to be your mummy.

"Enjoy paradise baby & your new angel wings. Na night Baba."

It follows her partner Ashley's touching post on Monday where he described how his heart is "shattered" following his daughter's death.

The Ex on the Beach star told how his daughter had given his life purpose and how she "made me a better man".

He vowed to make her name live on described how she had helped to save his life.

He wrote: "You saved my life, you really did. With my second chance, I make a promise to you that I will make yours live on in our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers."

He finished his post with lyrics from The Jungle Book's I Wanna Be Like You which the couple often said was one of Azaylia's favourite songs.
