Ashley Cain's fundraiser for daughter Azaylia soars over £1.6m as generous fans donate

Ashley Cain's fundraiser for his late daughter Azaylia has soared past £1.6million as fans have donated to the GoFundMe page in her memory.

The reality star, 30, and his girlfriend Safiyya, 34, sadly lost eight-month-old Azaylia on Sunday following her heartbreaking battle with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.

In March, they set up a fundraising page after they discovered chemotherapy would not be enough to cure their daughter's aggressive illness - and they were told by doctors to fly her out to Singapore for CAR-T therapy in a bid to reprogramme her immune system cells that would target her cancer.

The initial goal was to raise £1million, but since she tragically passed away, the total has soared well over £1.6million.

Tributes also flooded in from fans after they heard of the devastating news.

One person shared: "Rest in peace Azaylia the bravest baby girl we have seen you are in everyone's thoughts. To Safiyya and Ashley you've handled the worst think possible with nothing but love and bravery sorry for your loss."

"Sitting here at home with my 9 month old baby I just can't imagine the pain you must be feeling! She has touched so many lives, including my own. Beautiful little lion girl. Sending you all my love!! From one mum to another," another wrote.

A third added: "She was the most bravest, inspirational and beautiful little baby girl, her parents are absolutely incredible and my heart breaks for them. Rip Little Lion."

Celebrities and influencers are amongst those who donated to the page, including the likes of Molly-Mae Hague and PrettyLittleThing CEO Umar Kamani.

Azaylia's parents turned to the help of the public to help fund live-saving treatment, but were later told their daughter could not be treated in Singapore as her cancer was so rare.

Ashley and Safiyya spent their last moments at home with Azaylia before she sadly passed away on April 25.

Her dad shared the news on Instagram, alongside a final snap with his daughter.

"Rest In Paradise Princess. I will always hold you in my heart until I can hold you again in heaven #AzayliaDiamondCain."

The couple have since decided to donate the cash from the fundraiser to other families who are in the same situation.

On the page, they shared: "We pledged to give back to this community from the moment we were thrust into it and that is something we will always honour."
