Ashley Cain heartbreakingly says he's 'broken' as he mourns baby daughter Azaylia

Ashley Cain opened up about feeling "broken" after losing his baby daughter Azaylia.

The 30-year-old star and his partner Safiyya Vorajee's baby died on April 24 following a months-long battle with leukaemia.

He shared a message of grief onto his Instagram Stories and thanked his followers for the endless support during their turbulent time.

"I wanted to take this time to give thanks for all the love, care and support for Azaylia throughout her battle and still now for us as a family," he began.

"I am broken and hurting more and more every day right now.

"But I made a promise to my daughter that I would keep her name alive by continuing to help other children, adults and their families during their own battles and I will honour that promise until I see her again."

Meanwhile, Safiyya told her followers on her own Instagram page about the "unbearable pain" she has been in.

On Friday morning, she explained that she was struggling to get out of bed a week after Azaylia died.

The devastated mum shared a GIF of herself looking heartbroken as she lay in her bed.

"Trying to get myself out of bed in the morning has never felt so hard," Safiyya wrote in her post.

"The pain that hits me when my eyes open is unbearable.

"I just want this all to have been a dream."

"I miss you Azaylia," she finished the post, adding crying, angel and orange love heart emojis.

Azaylia Diamond had been diagnosed at just eight weeks old and fought to stay alive for weeks after doctors said she could only have days to live.

On April 25, Ashley and Safiyya confirmed that Azaylia had lost her battle with leukaemia.
