Ashley Banjo heartbroken after his beloved chihuahua dog KP dies

Ashley Banjo revealed his devastation after his beloved chihuahua KP died.

The dancer and Dancing On Ice judge took to social media to share the heartbreaking news with fans.

He told his Instagram followers that the 10-year-old pooch passed away on February 5.

Sharing a series of throwback photos, Ashley wrote: "This one hurts a lot… I can never replace you sweetie and it breaks my heart to lose you so suddenly.

"The same day she fell ill is the same day we lost her. The first pic here was our last one together… I’m just glad I got to be there for her in the end."

He went on to say: "Go and tell the close ones you love them while you still can. Life is too short and you never know where it takes you. R.I.P sweetheart."

Ashley shared adorable snaps of him snuggling up to KP throughout the years as well as a few pictures of the little pooch enjoying life.

Fans and friends took to the comment section to send their condolences to the heartbroken 33-year-old.

Perri Kiely posted a couple of heart emojis while another user wrote: "Omg Ash! I am so so sorry, sending you so much love right now."

"Sending so much love. Dogs are so special. 'Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen'," another posted.

One user said: "Oh I'm so sorry. Sending much love. Run free over rainbow bridge little one."

"So sorry for your & your family's loss," one follower added. Another said: "So very sorry for your loss Ashley, she is so cute, God bless her."

In 2018, the professional dancer had revealed his family dog Rocky died. He told fans that Rocky was part of the family for years.

Taking to Twitter at the time, Ashley wrote: "RIP Rocky – I didn’t want today to pass without introducing you all to a very special soul.

"Most of you have never seen him... But he’s been in my life since I was a kid and today we lost him. I wanted you all to see his handsome face! Love you and miss you already boy."

Just last week, fellow Diversity member Perri shared the sad news that his dog Luna died.

Taking to Instagram to share a throwback photo of himself as a child snuggling up to Luna, he wrote: "This doesn’t get any easier but it does show how much we all love you. miss you Luna."
