Ashley Banjo thinks it's just a matter of time before Meghan Markle and Prince Harry make amends with the Royal Family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's sensational interview with Oprah Winfrey in March caused ructions as the pair unleashed an abundance of savage claims towards the family.
But the Diversity dancer is confident that his new pals can mend the rift with "conversations and understanding".
Ashley, 32, bonded with the couple following Diversity’s dance honouring George Floyd on Britain’s Got Talent last September.
George was murdered in Minneapolis in May 2020 when a police officer pressed down on his neck with his knee for almost nine minutes.
The dance led to 24,500 complaints to Ofcom, but Harry offered his support at the time by calling Ashley on the phone.
Speaking to The Sun, Ashley admitted that he has been lucky enough to meet "quite a few" members of the Royal Family and said they had all been pleasant to him.
That makes him think that all is not lost for Meghan and Harry despite their current severed relations with the family.
Ashley said: "Every time we’ve spoken they’ve all been very polite and lovely to me.
"But as far as any family feuds go, I believe anything can be healed with enough conversation and understanding."
He added that it all depends on how much people really want to fix the issue and said "only time will tell I guess".
The dancer spoke to Jonathan Ross about his conversation with the Prince following his group's controversial dance routine.
He said: "We had a really lovely chat. Made me sort of realise, way before their [Oprah] interview, they spoke me through some stuff and really opened my eyes to some of the stuff they'd been through.
"I was like, wow, this is real and if anyone understood it, they did, about where I was at, in the midst of a storm."
While Ashley believes the rift can be resolved, it's been reported that Harry "didn't make any progress" when he was back in the UK for Prince Philip's funeral.
