Ashes 2027 dates are confirmed – with no Test matches in the North

  • Southampton's Utilita Bowl will host its first Ashes Test in 2027, becoming the tenth UK ground to stage a men's Ashes fixture.
  • The 2027 Ashes series is scheduled to begin at Trent Bridge on 18 June, with subsequent Tests at Lord 's, Edgbaston , the Utilita Bowl and the Kia Oval.
  • Manchester 's Old Trafford and Headingley in Leeds were not selected for the 2027 series but are confirmed to host matches in the 2031 edition.
  • England will prepare for the Ashes with a five-match One Day International series against Pakistan and a one-off Test against Bangladesh at Lord's.
  • The England and Wales Cricket Board also announced that The Oval will host next year's World Test Championship final, following its role in the 2023 showpiece. Ashes tickets are likely go on sale in September.
