Ashburn vehicle stolen, Chicago police say

Chicago police are warning residents of four vehicle thefts reported in January in Ashburn on the Southwest Side.

In each incident, someone stole vehicles that were left unattended with the keys in the ignition, Chicago police said in a community alert.

The thefts happened:

  • About 6:10 a.m., 6:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. Jan 5, in the 3700 block of West Hayford Street, the 7800 block of West Pulaski Road and the 3800 block of West 77th Place; and
  • About 7:45 a.m. Jan 9, in the 7700 block of South Komensky Avenue.
