
The Saudi Tourism Commission announced the names of the Saudi Summer Award for Media Excellence, which had been launched in June to incentivize journalists to highlight the Kingdom’s touristic sites.
10 journalists and content creators, who participated in five fields, won awards that amount to SR250,000 in total.
Asharq Al-Awsat won second place in the field of media reporting for a field report that had been prepared by Saleh al-Zeid in July about tourism in Jazan, which he described as an area that is distinguished from other Saudi areas by its cultural and geographic diversity.
In the field of TV reporting, Abdul Rahman Al-Usaimi won the first place from Al-Arabiya channel. Meanwhile, the second place award went to Abdulrahman Al-Zahrani from MBC.
