Ash Taylor demands SPFL decision as Aberdeen defender describes crisis as a 'mess'

Ash Taylor reckons Scottish football is in a mess and has urged league chiefs to start the clear-up by making a decision on the Premiership season.

The SPFL has called time on the Championship down but the top flight is still up in the air.

The Joint Response Group has confirmed the game will be in lockdown until June 10 and it is now looking unlikely the campaign will be finished.

Aberdeen stopper Taylor believes it is time for clarity.

He said: “It’s been a bit of a mess. We want clarity and to know what is going on so we can prepare physically and mentally for the rest of the season or get ready for the following season.

“The timescale and when are we looking to get back up and running – it will be difficult especially with the next season being so close.”

Taylor reckons Hearts should be kept up and Celtic called champions with the Premiership extended.

He added: “It would be best for all parties if no one gets relegated and Celtic win the league. It would be pleasing to everybody and beneficial to the league to have more teams in it.”
