Asda van overturns after crash with car

Emergency services were called to a street in Pontypool after a crash between an Asda supermarket van and a car.

Gwent Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service attended Cwrdy Road, Griffithstown after reports of a road traffic collision.

The incident happened at around 12.05pm on Tuesday 22 February.

Photos from the scene show the Asda van overturned and on its side. It is not yet known whether the van was out on a delivery when the incident occurred. No injuries were reported.

Asda has been approached to comment on the incident.

A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: "We received a report of a road traffic collision in Cwrdy Road, Griffithstown, Pontypool at around 12.05pm on Tuesday 22 February.

"Officers attended to assist with traffic management and the collision involved a car and a van.

"No injuries were reported and personnel from Torfaen County Borough Council and the Welsh Ambulance Service also attended."
