Asda, Tesco, Iceland and Waitrose urgently recalling chicken, ice cream, pasties and more

Supermarkets are urging customers to return a series of items due to safety fears.

The Food Standards Agency has issued alerts for a number of products, including Salmonella warnings for couscous.

Elsewhere, ice cream, chicken and pasty products are being recalled.

The product should not be used and should be returned to the trader.

Asda

Asda has recalled its Vegetable Cous Cous 500 g because it may be contaminated with Salmonella.

Symptoms caused by Salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

If you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Tesco

Tesco Free From 4 Toffee and Vanilla Cones (Tesco)

Tesco is recalling Tesco Free From Four Toffee and Vanilla Cones because they contain milk which is not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

Due to a packaging error some packs may have been filled with an incorrect product.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

Greggs is extending its recall of Vegetable Bakes (2 pack) to include additional best-before dates because the product may contain small pieces of green glass.

The possible presence of glass makes this product unsafe to eat.

This product is exclusively sold in Iceland Stores and does not affect the products sold in Greggs.
