Asda, Tesco and Iceland issue urgent recall warnings to shoppers on three foods

Asda, Tesco and Iceland are pulling foods off the shelves.

Each supermarket has issued a recall notice, with statements sent to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

Shoppers who have bought the foods, and are affected by the recalls are advised to return them to stores for a full refund.

Here's all the information below, as originally reported by Birmingham Live.

Tesco

Tesco has recalled its 16 Spicy Chorizo Slices 80g because the product contains Listeria monocytogenes.

The recall affects 80g packs of 16 Spicy Chorizo slices with a use by date of December 19, 2020.

Symptoms caused by Listeria can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea.

Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, including those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems.

If you have bought the above product do not eat it.

Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Asda

Asda is recalling a single date code of Plant Based Loaded Potato Skins because the product contains milk which is not mentioned on the label.

The product affected is the 262g pack with a use by date of November 12.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

Iceland

Iceland is recalling Twix Barres Glacées (Twix Ice-Cream Bars) because they contain milk, wheat (gluten) and soya which are not mentioned in English on the label.

They may contain almonds and hazelnuts (nuts) and peanuts.

The recall affects 18 packs with a best before date of June 30, 2021.
