Asda, Tesco and even H&M launch huge baby sales to rival Lidl's clearance

A number of high street chains have launched huge reductions on baby products on the back of Lidl's flash sale on Monday.

Britain's biggest grocer, Tesco, is set to unveil a price crash on Thursday - with nappies, baby clothes and more reduced until 6 May.

And ahead of the clearance, shoppers can already find half price deals online - with Tommee Tippee spoons, Ella's Kitchen baby food and Huggies nappies on offer.

Asda's baby event, meanwhile, has already started - with cut price blenders, jumperoo toys and even moses baskets .

Around 400 baby accessories, toys and clothes have been reduced, including products from its George at Asda clothing range.

However, if you're after cheap nappies, Morrisons may be your best bet - as it's currently offering any three packs for £17 instead of two for £14 at Tesco or £17 at Asda.

The sale follows high street rival Lidl's baby event on Monday, with prices on electricals, nappies and car seats - ranging from 39p to half price.

Boots huge baby sale will start tomorrow - and lots of things are half price

The star deals include a Motorola 3.5” Digital Video Monitor for £79.99 vs a recommended retail price of £139.99 - including a two way communication and a room temperature monitor.

Elsewhere, H&M currently has a big baby sale on clothes and we can't get over how cute these Disney pyjama bottoms are. Prices start at £1 - and you can shop the sale here.

In the fashion department, Debenhams is also currently hosting a clothing sale with items from £3, while Mothercare has some adorable shoes, socks and summer hats for £2.

However, as tempting as the deals may seem, always compare prices before you buy as you may be able to find the items cheaper elsewhere.

Cashback websites such as Quidco and TopCashback are also worth a punt - as you can get a percentage of what you paid back in your bank account.

Other ways to save include click and collect (which is often free) and voucher codes, which can save you a small fortune, especially on pricey baby essentials.
