Asda sparks lockdown cooking craze with popular 89p item which went viral on TikTok

Asda appears to have started a lockdown cooking craze and customers' appetites have been whetted by a simple 89p product.

Thousands of people have been inspired to get back into the kitchen as the third coronavirus lockdown continues.

The toasted tortilla wrap recipe originally became a TikTok sensation as people shared videos of their own attempts, MyLondon reports.

The recipe is simple; people should cut halfway down the middle of the wrap to make a split, which will allow you to fold it.

You then add the filling to each quarter, before folding the sections into each other to create a triangle pocket to then grill.

Asda shared its own version of the recipe on Instagram using its white tortilla wraps, which currently cost 89p for a pack.

The recipe post has been a huge hit with shoppers, and has been liked over 6,000 times.

"Have to try this one! Nom nom," said one shopper.

Somebody else said: "Had one of these the other day incredible!!!"

"I could just eat that right now", said another shopper.

"YES ASDA MAN GET IN," exclaimed a fourth.

Simple, easy and cheap - just how we like it.
