Asda shoppers celebrate as festive treats slashed to just 30p

A number of chocolate goodies were slashed in price at Asda with some festive treats reduced to just 30p after Christmas.

The supermarket reopened today after closing for the Christmas bank holiday and wowed many of its customers by discounting much of its festive stock.

It means those looking to stock up on chocolate and biscuits could grab some amazing bargains, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Many of the items were reduced to just 30p, including a giant 90g block of orange flavoured Aero, bags of Terry’s White Chocolate Orange Minis, pouches of gingerbread flavour Munchies, McVitie’s Milk Chocolate Digestives in gingerbread and mince pie flavours and orange and cranberry flavoured Jaffa Cakes.

Other items, while not as cheap, were also reduced in price.

A Cadbury White Christmas Collection Box containing four large festive bars was on sale for £2 instead of £3.50, while a box of salted caramel Galaxy Cake Bars was priced at just 50p, down from £1.

The deals were shared on Instagram by newfoodsuk which said: “Lots of festive treat bargains spotted today at Asda!”

The post went down a treat with fans and received more than 4,000 likes and 200 comments.

Peppermintgreens said: “I need to stock up on the aero lol."

Instamatthew2021: “Better go to my local Asda sooner rather than later for the bargains.”

However, one user thought there could be a better way to make use of the cheap deals.
